Green Sanctuary Program
The Green Sanctuary Program was originally founded and managed by UUMFE. Since 2008, it has been managed by the Office of Congregational Stewardship Services at the UUA, under the direction of Robin Nelson, Environmental Stewardship Manager.
The program was designed to give roots and wings to the vision that, together, we can create a world in which all people make reverence, gratitude, and care for the living Earth that is central to our lives. It provides a path for congregational study, reflection, and action in response to environmental challenges. One in four Unitarian Universalist congregations throughout the country are engaging in this work in order to proclaim and live out their commitment to the Earth.
