Environmental Justice Projects
Need project ideas for your congregation? To help you get started, here is a spreadsheet of environmental justice projects from recent Green Sanctuary program applications. You may search/sort this data base by the following key words: Community Outreach, Energy Conservation, Environmental Advocacy, Ethical Eating, Habitat Restoration, Micro-financing, Mountain Top Removal, and Water Rights. It also includes links to congregational websites where you can find more information on the projects. This resource is particularly useful for congregations seeking accreditation as a Green Sanctuary Congregation. The list was compiled by Emily Kao, winter 2010 Environmental Intern in the Advocacy & Witness Washington office, based on information provided by Robin Nelson, UUA Environmental Stewardship Manager through June 2012.
